Please note that we are no longer accepting submissions for this conference. Please join us in Dublin from May 24th-26th.

NIME 2002 invites contributions in three submission categories - papers, performances and demos.

Details for submitting under each of these categories are given below.

Papers:

Submissions in the category of short paper will be reviewed by the program committee and selected on the basis of quality. All papers should be of publishable quality and should not exceed 6 pages. Only electronic submissions in the conference format will be considered (see templates for download below). Additional materials (audio and video) are also encouraged and should be published on the web with links included in the submission.

Complete papers should be emailed to:
nime-mle@media.mit.edu
no later than February 15th 2002 (Please see the "paper templates" section below for detailed information on paper format). Once the review process has been completed, authors will have the opportunity to make changes based on reviewers comments before submitting their camera-ready copy on April 5th 2002.

Performances:

We also welcome submissions in the category of performance pieces. Successful submissions will be included in one of the concerts associated with the event.

To submit a work for performance, please email a short (1 page) description of the work including its duration, the set-up time and rehearsal time required and a detailed list of technical requirements (sound, light, stage area, etc.) This description should be emailed to:
nime-art@media.mit.edu
no later than February 15th 2002.

If you wish, you can also submit a 2-page description of the work for publication in the conference proceedings. You should download the template below and return your submission by email to:
nime-mle@media.mit.edu
no later than February 15th 2002.

Demos:

Some time has been set aside in the conference program for demonstration of working prototypes of new musical instruments and interfaces. Successful applications in this category will be given a space to demonstrate their work within these time slots.

To submit a demo, please email a 1-page description of the project, including any technical support required (power, lighting, space, etc.) to:
nime-mle@media.mit.edu
