If you already have these items, want to hunt them down yourself, or want to adapt our open-source firmware for a different Feather, you can totally do your thing. If you want EmotiBit to start streaming biometric signals out of the box with no extra effort, we’re offering the EmotiKit as a way to make it easy to use your EmotiBit the day it arrives.

Which EmotiKit should I get?

We have two EmotiKit options so you can choose what matters to you.

Do you want high-accuracy electrodermal activity (EDA/GSR) measurements?

If yes,  the Research-grade EmotiKit Addon ($125) is what you want. The Adafruit Feather's ADC in this kit is factory-calibrated for super high-accuracy EDA measurements that you can use in your next research study. If you got the Rockin’ & Researchin’ Bundle, EmotiBit Research Pack, or EmotiBit Beta Bundle, don’t worry, it already includes the Research-grade EmotiKit Addon.

If no, the Basic EmotiKit Addon ($59) without factory calibration will work great for you. You’ll be streaming biometric signals, including electrodermal activity (EDA/GSR), out of the box with this EmotiKit. The main difference is that without factory-calibration the baseline skin resistance or electrodermal level (EDL) measurements may have a baseline offset that varies somewhat from Feather to Feather. 

How do I add an EmotiKit Addon to my pledge?

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to manage your pledge and add add-ons.

(1) Go to the EmotiBit Kickstarter page. At the upper right hand corner, click the green button “Manage your pledge” as shown in the image below.

(2) Next you will see your payment information and current selected reward. At the bottom right corner of the page, click the purple button labeled “Change your pledge” as shown in the image below.

(3) On the next screen, reselect the reward you already selected, or you may select a different reward if you wish. Next, click the green “Pledge $__” button as shown below.

(4) At the next screen you can now choose any additional add-ons you might want. Simply click the green “Add” button next to the add-on rewards you would like. This is where you can select an EmotiKit Addon as shown in the image below. If you want multiple EmotiBits, you can also add them here as add-ons. Be sure to scroll down to see all the different items. Then, click the green continue button at the bottom right hand corner. 

(5) Finally, you will be directed to the confirmation page where you simply click the green “Confirm changes” button. You are all set!
